Edward T. Oatman brings more than three decades of experience at the intersection of government leadership and political strategy. He has served as Union County Manager since 2018, managing a complex, 21-municipality government with roughly 2,500 employees and responsibility for operational execution, fiscal oversight, and policy implementation.

Alongside his public service career, Oatman is a longtime political strategist and campaign advisor. He has consulted on numerous successful campaigns throughout New Jersey, from local and statewide races to federal contests. His strategic leadership played a key role in flipping Somerset County and Legislative District 11 from Republican strongholds to full Democratic representation. Oatman also serves as a senior advisor to Senate President Nicholas P. Scutari, providing guidance informed by decades of hands-on political and governmental experience. Ed lives in Woodbridge, is the proud father of three, and an avid fan of The Grateful Dead and New York Mets.

As a veteran in the political arena, Nick co-founded Parktowne Associates to provide professional campaign strategies to clients regardless of scale. Mr. Fixmer brings over 20 years of governmental and private sector experience, having previously worked as the Chief of Staff for a member of the New Jersey General Assembly, served as the Executive Director of the Union County Democratic Committee, and served on the Board of Trustees for Union College. In addition to his ongoing work with Parktowne Associates, Nick is also the President of Paragon Strategies & Consulting, which focuses on business development and corporate communications.

Since 2022, Nick has served as the Executive Director of the New Jersey Senate Democratic Majority and as a senior advisor to Senate President Nicholas P. Scutari. Mr. Fixmer serves on the Rutgers University Board of Governors, is a member of the New Jersey Maritime Pilot and Docking Pilots Commission Board, and resides with his wife and two children in New Jersey.
